In a moment of (non) genius, I decided to stretch the muscles in my back after a long day sitting in front of my computer at the office. I did my usual stretches, and I may have been a bit over exuberant twisting. I have no idea what muscle I've pulled (strained?) because some of your back muscles wrap around your sides, but I have some crazy sharp pains around the bottom of my left ribcage when I breathe deeply or move the wrong way. Ouch. I rarely ever hurt myself or get sick, and when I do I get so annoyed. I had to forgo my daily walk this evening because of the evil!pain.

Searching one's symptoms on the internet can only lead to hypochondria. The internet has diagnosed me with many things including kidney stones, a cracked rib, and pleurisy. No, I'm confident I don't have any of those.

The heating pad and aspirin only go so far in making me forget that my muscles hate me. Get well soon, muscles.

I'm cleansing myself. Or at least that's what the two bottles of SmartCleanse tell me. I got them at Whole Foods yesterday morning when I decided that I should get back onto the healthy eating track. I'm actually quite good at eating good foods, but since Thanksgiving, there has been an abundance of cookies, cakes, and candies floating in and out of my life. So, I'm washing all that crap out and starting the new year fresh. I'm supposed to take two different formulas--one in the morning and the other at night. Supposedly, it is going to clean out my lungs, colon, liver, etc. We'll see. I'm also drinking the most bitter and disgusting drink ever made. It's a mixture of distilled water, unsweetened cranberry juice, lemon juice, and dandelion root. I drank 120 ounces of it yesterday, and plan on doing so again today. I just keep telling myself that it will assist with the cleansing.

I've had a small portable stereo on my bookcase for about three or four years. It's new and I've never used it. After buying all the manga, I had to make room. So, I posted a short note on craigslist.org and offered to give it away to someone who'd like it. I got a ton of responses. Most of them were some variation of, "I'll take it." I deleted all of those and was left with one e-mail from an elderly lady who lives in a senior community. She said she didn't have a car to pick up the stereo, but that her granddaughter would love it. She even included her address and phone number in the e-mail, which I didn't think was very wise since I could have been a crazy psycho. Anyway, I called her yesterday and offered to drop it off at her apartment. She was very sweet. I was invited in, offered food/candy/drinks, all of which I declined. Her granddaughter is eight, and that's who she planned on giving the stereo to. So, that was my good deed for the day. I rewarded myself by buying more manga. Hey, don't roll your eyes...
