I feel like poo.

I want to go home, eat some tasty, warm food, and watch The Goblet of Fire and Love Actually. I've had the latter for several weeks, but I still haven't watched it.

Work isn't too busy, so this plan of action may be workable. We're in the midst of our yearly audit and I just need to make sure that it won't cause problems if I leave early today and take tomorrow off as well.

The baby shower for Jason's sister, Caricia, was...ehh. I'm blank. I can't find a word. It wasn't the ideal way to spend my Sunday and contributed to my desire to NOT be at work today. I feel like my weekend has been stolen from me. Baby showers should not last six hours. It's a crime. My brain is still recovering from the voices of twenty women exclaiming, "Ohhhhh, how cute!"

So...yeah...I'm going to finish all of my pending work this morning and try to remove myself from the world for at least a day. Wish me luck and hope that the world does not find me.

I didn't like GoF any better the second time...but I think Love Actually is better everytime I watch and the SOUNDTRACK...XD.

Sorry you don't feel well. I need more and more time away from the Real World.

Babyshowers....ick. Did they play mindnumbingly stupid games? I always suspected there was something seriously wrong with that whole scenario. Why do women act that way? I avoid all showers, send a check next time.

No, no games thankfully. But they did all coo over the silly pink dresses. Caricia was a bit annoyed with the amount of pink items she received. She had vowed that she wasn't going to raise her girl surrounded by pink things.

Egad, SIX hours!?! That's over the top. We went to a baby blessing Sunday, and only had to be there for a little over an hour. If we'd have stayed for dinner, then it would've been 2-3, tops.

I vote for the early departure. Go watch Love Actually because it's really good. Eat the comfort food. Report back. :)

Yes, six hours was a bit much. People were leaving right after Caricia opened their present because they were annoyed with the amount of time it was taking. The party was scheduled to start at 2pm, but she didn't start opening presents until after 5pm. I had to stick around afterward since the universe wanted to torture me.

At a certain point, keeping people around for that is just plain rude. Like the whole world is centered around their precious life. Or something to that effect.
