I've calmed down, but thirty minutes ago I was so angry that I was shaking with rage. I rarely get to that point, but I'm there today. The line is hereby drawn by me. Elenore (the boss) did something to piss me off so much that if she was in the office this morning I would have walked down there and given her a few choice words. As it is, I'm going to go speak with her when she comes into the office in an hour. I've composed myself enough to be reasonably nice, but I am not in the mood for her shit. She is either going to correct this problem or I'm going to look for another job. I do not live to work. I am not ambitious. I want an 8am to 5pm job to pay my bills and buy the books/music I want. I do not want loads of responsibility that put me in a position where I have to spend hours after work each day trying to catch up.

((Hugs)) I hope the talk with the boss went well.

I've been swamped all week at work. Too much work for eight hours and I haven't even been taking a break to get a drink of water. I told Elenore that I simply DID NOT have time to hire any new employees. She said it was no problem and that she and her daughter (the receptionist) would take care of it. I've trained her daughter on how to hire new employees, so that should have been pretty easy. I came in this morning and found that that she had arranged for a new hire to come into the office at 8:30am. She doesn't come in until 11:00. Her daughter doesn't come in until 2:30. She scheduled him to come in knowing that I would have to take care of it and hire him even though the day before I had told her that I did not have time. I was so severely pissed off. When she came in I called her out on it and she apologized multiple times and said that she just "wasn't thinking". Whatever. I let it go, but told her that if she needs my help hiring people in the AM, then she needs to give me a day's notice and it can't be any more than two days out of the week. She agreed to my requirements, but we'll say how things go.

Yargh, that's lame. Sorry to hear that, that was truly inconsiderate on her part. Worse than that, even. I don't blame you for being pissed, but hope the mood improves soon. :)
