Steve breaks my heart.

My cold has passed (knock on wood). It was rather costly to be sick. I've gone through approximately five bottles of cough syrup, two bottles of Nyquil, four bags of cough drops, two bottles of Chloreseptic Throat Spray, one bottle of Zicam, two boxes of herbal tea for sore throats, two boxes of herbal tea to boost the immune system, and two bottles of pure honey. This is not to mention the new humidifier I bought for the apartment and the small (but expensive) personal humidifier I bought for my office. I could spend all day watching the mist flow of out of them. Anyway, I cringe to think of the total amount of money I spent during these two weeks.

In other happy news: I'm actually caught up at work. Everything that needs to be done is done with time to spare. This won't last long, I'm sure.

I watched An Awfully Big Adventure last night. Alan Rickman sex scenes? Yum. The connotations of them in the context of the movie? Eww. Him dressing up like Captain Hook and prancing around with eyeliner on made up for it though.

yeah, I agree about AABA. Alan is great but that girl just looks too young to make it believable to me. I mean he's all vulnerable and cute and I wanna hug him, and well, you have to love him riding that old Norton motorbike... except when he throws the damn thing on the ground to have a hissy fit and yell "Stellaaaaaa!" like something out of streetcar named desire... :P So I have some issues with that *particular* movie

Yes! He was so vulnerable and cute in that scene after the party - the one where he brings her to his place for the first time. I got the inkling that something was amiss and that she was probably his daughter when he started calling out the other name during sex. Eww... Incest. Gross.

I actually had a new-fangled humidifier, but you can see it spitting out the mist and didn't seem to put that much water into the air. This new one is amazing. As for AR as Captain Hook - it was great! He used his voice to great affect.

But, two bottles of NyQuil? Dayum. Clearly this cold was hard-core. NyQuil, for me, is like getting hit in the head with a heavily-padded sledgehammer. Fantastically effective, for a bit too long. Wonderful stuff. :)
