First of all, download this song.

So, I was driving home after work today. The sky was dark and rain was nearly ready to fall. The breeze was cool and the leaves are just begin to turn yellow. I had the window rolled down and was cruising toward the mountains. That song ^^, the one above, was on my car stereo and it was the perfect moment. I've always claimed "Faded" (the song) is the closest I've ever gotten to some sort of religious experience. I claim it as mine and mine alone. Greg Dulli surely wrote it for me. He just didn't know it at the time. Well, he still doesn't know it, but that's a mere technicality. Anyway, I was watching all of the cars in front of me lane hopping in an attempt to get approximately 15 feet ahead of the car they were behind. The people driving them looked so stressed out and angry. And I was so happy just listening to this song and feeling the cool air rush in through my windows. I felt sorry for everyone. I wanted to give them all the song and tell them to put down the cell phones and just listen. Just feel the breeze and look at the setting sun and hear this gorgeous song. And then we could all go to the grocery store to buy extra chunky peanut butter and Halloween candy to eat before Halloween.

(And then I thought it was hilarious that me, Miss Worrier, is actually thinking about counseling people on how to chill out. Right...)

And on a side note - If you've never heard the entire Afghan Whigs album that "Faded" came from (Black Love), then I highly recommend it. And since it's already uploaded, here's a link to all the songs...an absolute masterpiece that I cannot live without.

I loved this post. Just so exactly *right*.

And I will, of course, be taking your command -- er, suggestion -- about the Whigs album. As usual :)
