My office has no air conditioning. It's over 80 degrees. One of the AC units went down and it services five office in the building - one of which is mine. It won't be fixed until late Wednesday. I'm dragging the fan with me to work tomorrow.

I bought Halloween candy, but I have no intention of handing it out on Halloween. It's mine, I tell you. All mine.

I'm reading Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. My taste in characters and my taste in men are both so predictable. I adore Colonel Brandon. And I prefer Elinor over Marianne.

I have this insane craving for sopaipillas. Unfortunately the Mexican place next door closed 15 minutes ago and I refuse to go anywhere else.

Have you SEEN Sense and Sensibility? You know, of course that Col. Brandon is played by Alan Rickman....soooo brooding and angsty. I still prefer Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy but Alan was absolutely perfect as Col. Brandon.

Do not torment me by speaking of mexican food....they know not what it is here for all that we have a huge lation population. There is no tex-mex....no sopapilla's....no crispy chile rellanos...I am deprived.

O_O No, I did NOT know that Alan Rickman plays Col. Brandon! It's destiny - he will be mine. Mwahahaha!!! I actually promised myself that I would not watch the movie or even read about it until I finished the book. I'm 2/3 of the way finished - about 100 pages to go. I hope to rent it this coming weekend if all goes well and I'm able to finish reading it. I'm even more excited over seeing it now that dear Alan is sexifying Col. Brandon.

Is your eye a happy eye or a soon-to-be-happy eye? At least you can open it and read without difficulty now.

Damn, I'm sorry I told you! But I love the movie, too.

There are a couple of excellent follow-up books to Pride and Prejudice that I think are excellent examples of fanfic published. You can do that when the copyright laws runout. lol.

No, don't be sorry! I'm even more excited about watching it now that I know Alan is in it. I've only got 50 more pages to go, so this weekend will be an Alan weekend.

You should go to Casa Bonita! Except thats in Denver. Time for a road trip. Just don't eat any thing except the sopapillas, I'm warning you.

Sometimes I wish my life lended itself more easily to road trips. I miss them dearly. Good times.

Somewhere coastal. Probably northern California, Washington state, or the New England area with cliffs and ocean.

Assuming I don't drop this Gothic novel class, I'll be reading Northanger Abbey in about a month. You up for it?

From: [identity profile] anogete.livejournal.com

Sounds like a plan. Are you starting it next month? ::scrambles to find a used copy online:: I haven't read it yet, but it sounds interesting.

We're doing it on October 26, i.e. in almost exactly a month's time. So no need to scramble. Take your time. ;-)
