Promotion? Yes, I'd Love One...

I'm trying to swindle my way into a pseudo-promotion at work. I'll keep nearly all of my duties now, but I'll be moved into an office upstairs and will no longer have to man the front desk and answer the phones. It all hinges on the AP girl doing well in the interview I arranged for her. If she wows them, then the other company will hire her and I'll get her office and the title of AP Manager. Then I can hire someone to work the lobby, answer the phones, and do all of the filing. This would work out extremely well for me. There should be definite news the middle of next week. Wednesday or Thursday, I think. My fingers (along with the fingers of everyone else in the office) are crossed because we'd really like to scoot the AP girl out the door as soon as humanly possible. She's become a serious problem and creates a bad atmosphere in the workplace.

On a side note, the payroll girl and I have vowed to do a dance to Kool & the Gang's "Celebration" if the AP girl quits and goes elsewhere.

The Blood Brothers are playing with Coheed and Cambria in October. I'm doubly tempted to go even if the other fans put me off. I imagine I'll have made a decision by the end of the month in order to purchase tickets.

Finally rented Dr. Strangelove so I can watch it again. The first time I saw it my attention was decidedly divided and I don't think I picked up on it as I should have.

I have an urge to play with graphics, but I don't know what to make or for what purpose. Idly playing with graphics will just annoy me if I don't have a reason or a direction. If anyone wants a graphic done, let me know and I'll fiddle around it with. Perhaps some new avatars are in order.
