I am so ready for some time off work. Getting up and dragging my ass into the office this morning was extremely difficult, and it was not helped by the fact that it is freezing outside with a bit of snow/ice on the ground. It wouldn't be so bad if the snow was falling from the sky, but it isn't. I have a gazillion new cell phones to activate and charge, but I have sweet-talked the Sprint sales manager into coming over here and programming them all for me. I'm going to watch him because he looks terribly dashing programming cell phones in his fancy suit and perfectly coifed hair. Plus, he's forgiven my dog for biting his pants leg, so he must be a nice fellow.
When I was a teenager, I got caught up in the world of Ally McBeal. I haven't seen the program for years, so I don't know how well it stands up now, but I used to love it. Last night, I stumbled across a clip from the show which lead me to another, and then another. And then, gold. I found a clip of Jesse L. Martin. For those who never watched or don't remember Ally McBeal, Jesse portrayed a doctor named Greg Butters. He wooed Ally, and they dated for a brief time on the program after Ally finally managed to get over an old relationship the show was built around. At any rate, this clip led me to Jesse's filmography, and I discovered that he will be playing Marvin Gaye in a movie called Sexual Healing. Fuck me. I've always said that no one else could ever portray Marvin Gaye like Jesse. I had such a crush on him as a teenager, and after watching the damn clip from Ally McBeal, I that crush is back with a vengeance. He makes me melt into a puddle on my chair.

I always wish I'd seen him in Rent. Not too fond of the play, but I love his songs on the soundtrack. It would have made the experience worthwhile.
