Yep. I'm sick. I always get sick this time of year. I don't, however, have any qualms about taking copious amounts of any medicine I can get my hands on. Though, the Theraflu powder I was instructed to mix with hot water looked and tasted like warm urine. The Throat Coat tea is much more palatable.
Jason was very sweet and went out to get me medicine after dinner. He came back with: Kleenex, tea, Theraflu powder, NyQuil, Mucinex nose spray, and throat lozenges. And a bag of my favorite cookies. The nose spray and tea have done wonders. I plan on drinking twice the recommended dosage of NyQuil and passing out in bed in a few moments. I've already informed Payroll Girl that I will be calling in sick tomorrow. I'm going to sleep in, and she's going to tell the rest of the office I called and sounded terrible.
What will I spend my day doing? Sleeping, reading, and possibly watching Love Actually since it is around Christmas time, and that movie always makes me cry. Do you think crying would loosen up the mucus in my sinuses and chest? If so, then I'm all over that movie.
Actually, if I feel up to it, I'm going to go do my good deed of the month. The Giving Tree has been erected in the mall. It is a Christmas tree with little tags from children in needy families. Each approved child writes what they'd like for Christmas on the tag so passers-by can snag a tag and buy the present, then turn it over to the folks at the mall for distribution to the family. Provided I am not hacking up a lung or so congested my eyeballs feel as if they might protrude out my head, I want to drop by and pick up a tag.
And just so this entry isn't the most boring thing ever:
EDIT: Holy crap. The double shot of NyQuil and a mug of chamomile tea have knocked me on my ass. I'm about to pass out on my keyboard. Go0dnight, everyone.
