I finished my super!awesome knitted cotton tank.

Excuse the odd angle of the second picture, but I'm, apparently, unable to take a picture of my torso without cutting my head and/or back off. At least you can see how it looks on instead of lying atop a table. I lurve it lots.

Packing has begun. Our new bed is arriving tomorrow morning. I need to box up my books, DVDs/videos, and other assorted odds and ends this weekend. Next weekend I'll pull the art off the walls and pack up what I can of the kitchen. I'm so excited about moving, but it is so much work. Blah.

Your result for The Perception Personality Image Test...

NBDS - The Trailblazer

Nature, Background, Detail, and Shape

You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on the hidden treasures of life (the background) and how that is affected by the details of life. You are also particularly drawn towards the shapes around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to ponder ideas and imagine the many possibilities of your life without worrying about the details or specifics. You are highly focused on specific goals or tasks and find meaning in life by pursuing those goals. You prefer a structured environment within which to live and you like things to be predictable.

That is a wicked cute sweater. That's the sort of thing I want to make once I get good enough.

You should try it. It was actually very easy to make. I really think a beginner who knows how to decrease stitches and knit ribbing (which is super easy) could make it. Basically, you knit the front and the back separately. The back is just ribbing (k2p2) for about a foot, then you change to regular stockinette for a few more inches. Then you decrease one stitch each side for the armholes, then more knitting straight. Same for the front, except you have to decrease on the outsides for the armholes and the inside for the v-neck. It was actually easier than knitting a couple cabled hats I did back about a year ago.

Netflix is my savior! I'd be throwing so much money at the video store if I didn't have it.
