I need to go get the last Sookie Stackhouse book so badly. Maybe I'll swing by the bookstore tonight and pick it up, even if I have to drop the money for it in hard cover. I spent the last several minutes browsing BloodCopy, a site created by the folks working on the HBO television adaptation. They even posted a poster mock-up for Fangtasia.

And, they posted a video of Sam! I'm still completely in love with Sam. And I really like the fellow they cast for him. Look, look, look...

I like Sam, although I had hoped they'd cast a redhead in the part. And, I'm sorry they didn't use Fangtasia, the bar with bite on their poster. I'm looking forward to seeing the show. Thanks for the links.

I was looking for a redhead as well, but I can live with the guy who has been cast. I downloaded the first episode, and I loved the way he interacted with Sookie. In quite a few scenes, he's standing in the background, watching her in the bar, giving her this I'd-do-anything-for-you look. My major complaint about the show was the actress who was playing Tara. She felt off to me, and her accent was horrible. It looks like they've recast Tara from the new trailer that was released, so I'm happy about that. I also like the guy they've cast to play Eric. I read somewhere that he's Swedish, so he throws in some lines in Swedish every now and again. I think he's in the new trailer around the 13 second mark. Gah. Linkage (http://pics.livejournal.com/the_grynne/pic/004wpf37) to the trailer.

I really, really want the show to be good, but I have such reservations about the book to TV show transition.
