Not knowing Jason was going to be spontaneous today, Ferguson and I got up early and walked over to the park a couple miles away. When we got home, I forced Jason to accompany me to the grocery store so he could carry the heavy bags. After stowing the food away, he decided that we should get a Thin Mint blizzard from Dairy Queen, which we promptly did. Because who am I to turn down ice cream, right? After the ice cream, he decided that Ferguson should be allowed to meet ducks. There is really only one place (other than the myriad of private golf courses, which I'm sure don't appreciate dogs) to see ducks, and that is Tingley Beach. It's not really a beach, seeing as how Albuquerque is in the desert, but it is a series of man-made ponds connected to each other and stocked with fish for those of the fishing persuasion. So, we drove down there and strolled around the ponds. I almost talked Jason into renting a paddle boat for us, but he's a big weenie with a fear of the water. I forgot my digital camera, but I did take pictures with my cell phone camera. Not great quality, but better than I anticipated.

Ferguson was completely uninterested in the ducks and the geese, by the way. The two pictures in which he appears to be looking at them, he's actually just trying to smell the ground. Some predator he is.
