Stuff

I managed to complete all of my to-do list for the weekend except for one. I had to attend Easter dinner at Jason's mother house. Jason and I were miserable, but we felt obligated. Jason's niece is terrified of him, which comes as no surprise, seeing as how he's completely inept with children. However, she adores me for some odd reason. Not that I'm any less inept than Jason. His mother insisted that he hold her, but she wailed every time she was within a foot of his lap. She was handed off to me after that failed attempt, and she sat on my lap for nearly an hour before nodding off. I could never take care of a kid. An hour was quite enough for me. It's very tiring, even if the baby is well-behaved.

I came across my copy of Mesmer last night while I was reorganizing the DVDs. It's in a blank case because I picked it up online via Amazon's Marketplace. It's out-of-print and, like a nutjob, I paid nearly fifty dollars for it. It was worth it. Alan Rickman is all sexified and yummy. It's like my porn. I was worried I had lost it, but it was stuffed behind some old video tapes. At any rate, guess what I'm watching tonight.

I was reading this post on southernwitch69's journal, and now I've got a craving to actually write something. I just haven't decided on which prompt I should use. I'm hoping I might have time at work this afternoon to start on something, even if it is just a rough outline. Snape/Hermione, of course. Only because I'm obsessed with that pairing, and I'm obviously substituting myself because I'm a sick bastard.
