Because I don't really have a way of getting in contact with all of you while the site is down, I just want to let all of the PDS people know that I'm aware the site has gone wacky. I tried to repair the databases last night, thinking something little had gotten off. Repairing the databases made it worse. This morning the message board itself is semi-up, but you can't view any topics due to the big, flaming error message splashed across the screen. So, I'm working on it. I have a trouble ticket into the provider. It looks like they have tweaked something and it has set the site into a tailspin. Hopefully it will be fixed soon...maybe...hopefully.

As for today... I'm blowing today off. I have no interest in working and over half the employees in this office are going to be yucking it up on a golf course. A few more are taking the day off just because they can. I plan on doing little to no work and sitting around like a lump listening to music.

Going to see the Minute Men documentary (We Rock Econo) tonight. If the damn Guild Cinema would put their SHOW TIMES up. And movies...I need to rent movies for the weekend. Can anyone vouch for any of these?

After Life (1998)
Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974)
Buffallo 66 (1998)
Barton Fink (1991)
Fearless (1993)
Dead Man (1995)
Code 46 (2004)
Equilibrium (2002)
The Final Cut (2004)

Just some titles that looked interesting to me when surfing the movie websites. No one should ever say that I don't do my research. I'm so studious.

Dead Man and Equilibrium are both fantastic. If you liked Christian Bale in American Psycho you'll like Equilibrium.

Dead Man is Jonny Depp no? If I'm think of the right movie it's really good. One of Jonny Depp's lesser known but really good movies.

Good luck on the message board! I hope it comes back up soon as well ><

From that list I've only seen Fearless and Barton Fink. Fearless is decent but not something I'd rave over. Barton is way cool if you're in the right mood. It's the Coen brothers' take on writer's block, Hollywood as Hell, and wrestling. The whole head vs. heart discussion we were having a while back? Depicted within :)

Enjoy your quasi-day off, and good luck with the site!

He was wonderful in the documentary. Insightful, funny, passionate about the music.

The board is improved but still ailing this morning. Don't stress! None of the movies that'd I've actually seen made me rave. Didn't like Barton Fink. Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia....worth watching, but it's Peckinpah...so it's dark, grim, and what you'd expect from Sam. Let me know about After Life..it's on my list of films to see. Fearless? I like Peter Weir (Picnic at Hanging Rock!) but not Jeff Bridges. Haven't seen Dead Man but the cast list is mmmmm. Enjoy and let us know what you think.
