I love October and November. Not only is the fall weather beautiful, but they sell pumpkin flavored things. Ice cream, muffins, rolls, pies, etc. It has to be one of my favorite flavors. I plan on pigging out on Double Rainbow Pumpkin ice cream tonight. It's organic, so I don't feel too bad. ::lies to self::

I've promised a fellow chihuahua owner in Chicago that I'd make a custom sweater for her little dog. She sent me the measurements this evening, and I've already started the top of the sweater. I don't anticipate it taking me very long since her chi is very small. I don't think I'm good enough yet to charge a fee for my creations, so I'm just asking for a reimbursement for the yarn.

Trinity Blood isn't as good as I was expecting it to be, but it's passable. I greatly enjoy some aspects of it, but others fall short. The characterization and interaction between establish characters definitely leaves something to be desired. I wanted to finish it before I started anything else, but I keep putting off watching it because I'm not so interested. So, I've decided to put Trinity Blood on hold indefinitely. I suspect I'll finish the series at some point - just not now.

I watched the first two episodes of Hellsing today. My brothers have always been gaga over the series, and as much as I like to give them shit, they have good taste in anime. Needless to say, I'm totally in love with Alucard. As if there was ever a question that this would happen as soon as I set eyes on him. But what really did it? In the first episode, he racks the slide on his gun with his teeth. I took a screen cap of it because the hotness makes my brain explode.

How fucking sexy is that? I swoon... I swoon...

Jason and I are taking tomorrow off work. We're going to take Ferguson for a hike in the Sandia Mountains, go practice at the gun range, and lie around the apartment for the remainder of the day.

Your knitting looks awfully good to me! You should figure out what people are charging for hand knitted things to get an idea what to charge, and charge for the shipping, too.

Hope you and Jason enjoy your day off!

i assume that you're watching the original Hellsing. (warning... the ending kind of sucks and has nothing to do with the manga version.) It's still worth watching though.

I do recommend watching Hellsing Ultimate which is the retelling of the story strictly from the manga. All the original voice actors are back (and can i say much more awesome). Alucard is even more badass and Seras is less whiny and more of a vampire. The first three discs are currently out.

Yes, I am watching the original series. I think there are thirteen episodes. I have copies of the three installments of the OVA, but haven't seen anything of them yet. I'm definitely looking forward to it, though.

I found you by the [livejournal.com profile] integraxalucard's fl, I hope you don't mind my commenting: Trinity Blood Anime is awful. They mixed plot, changed characterization, genders, personalities, ages, relationships, a LOT of things from the Novels (the source material), I forward you to the novels or the more humor, shoujo-astic Manga adaptation you can download from here. (http://welyn.4shared.com/) The biggest difference between Novel and Manga is that Manga only (first loosely then more faithfully) adapts an arc: Reborn on Mars (the arc Esther Blanchett appears) while novels have that one and, two years earlier, Rage Against the Moons. The novels are more serious, intrigue oriented and dark than the Manga. Rape happens a lot, likewise massacres and deaths.

Esther, in the novels, starts as a violent and charismatic terrorist/rebel leader in István, the fearsome Csillag who sets bombs and assesination attempts to corrupted politicians and Gyula's secret police. Manga wise, much of this is overlooked due to the rushed adaptation of the first arc (her terrorist past is brought up in the adaptation of ROM IV: Imitation Star. An Arc never adapted for the Anime). Unlike the Anime, she's not in for revenge, until (in the same story) the Bishop Vitéz is raped and cut into pieces by Gyula's men when she didn't turn in Esther.

Thank you for this! I'm definitely going to check out the manga. I still haven't watched the remainder of the anime. I think I might just stick to the manga in this instance.

If you ended up liking the Manga, I strongly suggest you to buy the novels (they are being published in English). Manga is more light-hearted and romantic. Sadly, Esther's personality is changed because she was too dark and mature, I guess. But she's less of a doormat at least. ._.
