I made scones! I'm so proud of myself. I bought one at the whole foods market for lunch on Friday and decided that I should make my own. I dropped by the grocery store after work to get dried cranberries. They are oh-so-tasty. Does anyone know of a killer recipe for scones, by the way? Nothing too fancy, just basic. I combined aspects of three different recipes to come up with what I have now.

I was looking at the lovely dogs Quixote Humane has up for adoption. (Ferguson was adopted from Quixote.) Judy had uploaded the pictures of the Chihuahua Easter Parade, and I found one of Ferguson and I. Jason and Bean are also in the picture, but they both look slightly confused and distracted. Anyway...

I'm a big 'ol dork. We were wearing jackets with hoods because it was snowing that morning when we arrived.

[livejournal.com profile] themadmermaid has written a lovely Lucius/Ginny story and has posted it on her LJ. You can find it here: An Apple on a Bough. Slight non-con warning just to be safe, but don't let that scare you away. We all know that Lucius can make anyone want it, even cute little Ginny Weasley. ;-)

There's an interesting scone recipe in "Vegan With a Vengeance" by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. I haven't tried any of the recipes yet, but a lot of them look good. She also wrote a book on vegan cupcakes.
