I'm screwing around now. I hope this doesn't kill anyone's flist page. AGTKRYCEK is my main journal and my first journal. Back when I thought I could handle updating two journals, I started one with the name I write under ([livejournal.com profile] anogete). Because the fandoms I write in are very active on LJ, I've found it rather confusing to use AGTKRYCEK all the time when I write under the name anogete. LJ allowed me to switch the names. So, my main journal's name is now [livejournal.com profile] anogete. Same old journal, new name and link. My writing journal is lying over there dead somewhere. That doesn't really matter all that much since I'll be using this as a writing journal as well.

That was confusing. Simply put, my journal is intact, but it is now called [livejournal.com profile] anogete. Some of you already have it friended, but anyone trying to access AGTKRYCEK will be forwarded to the new name. I know some of you have both journals friended. Hopefully, you won't get double posts from me on your flist. If you do, kindly remove AGTKRYCEK seeing as how I won't be using it anymore. All content has been moved to [livejournal.com profile] anogete.

Yeah, still confusing. Slightly. Sorry.

I've been sorry since I made two journals, it gets confusing but I do write under two names, so. I've been trying to figure out if I can switch [livejournal.com profile] noah_vail from a journal to a comm, so that I wouldn't have to log out of [livejournal.com profile] bleedtoblue to post on the writing journal. Don't think it can be done but I wish it could.

It seems like you WOULD be able to do this. It should be like your joining a community that has nothin to do with your personal journal. ... But if youre the owner I guess I can see where that might backfire :P

I've discovered that if I had NO ENTRIES in the journal I could convert it to a comm. I've also found that I can use the SWITCH option to sign in and post with out signing out of my personal journal. That might be helpful. But you know things can never just be simple. I always manage to complicate them.

I've used SWITCH without disaster - but there was some confusion. I think I got the other friends page but was viewing it as a friend or something. Can't remember but it wasn't permanent and I got my friends page back quite easily.

Ive been thinkin of doing the same thing - I started MISTYCATE to go with my art website and have never done anything with it. But I think It's 15 bucks to switch, it looks like ...

Yeah, it costs $15. I thought about doing it when they first announced this feature months ago, but I didn't feel like dropping several months' worth of LJ payments on a name switch. However, I'm participating in a couple LJ-originated fic festivals, and I don't want to confuse readers with my two different names.

You've turned up on my friends page as anogete without me doing anything! I had noticed the new name on the agtkrycek posts so it wasn't a complete shock to my easily confused brain. I hadn't realised you had two journals so I hadn't friended anogete. So your $15 worked!
