Dear Harry Potter Fandom,

Please refrain from freaking out. If posts could twitch in a show of neurotic behavior, then the posts in the spoil_me_dh community would surely be vibrating with craziness. The book will be out in just over three days. We will all know what happens then. No need to get your undies in a bunch over some fake copy on the net.

Oh, and if Snape dies, I'll cry. I'll probably cry if Hermione dies, too. Then I'll have to use some major brain power to work out another SS/HG fic. And I'd much rather use that brain power on the sexin' scenes.

P.S. - Could we possibly keep Lucius and Remus alive as well? I don't mind if Draco dies. He's a little snot anyway.

That community cracks me up. I skim it just to get a good laugh, and it's become even more amusing now that there's not only the spoiler community, but an offshoot community to disprove the spoilers. Come on. I've waited two years. It won't kill me to wait another few days. That doesn't mean I haven't been reading some of those posts out of boredom, but I see no reason to get freaked out at this point.

I am, however, busily thinking of ways to bring dead people back to life that won't be ripping off my own work in the event that it's necessary. Hmm...

I think I'm going to have to avoid LJ and message boards altogether over the weekend while I read the book. Some of my f-list posted fake spoilers when the last book came out (HAGRID DIES!) which i accidentally saw and believed so I read all of The Half-Blood Prince thinking it would happen. So annoying. Hope you have a good HP weekend!

I've decided to stay away from all those rumours as they tend to ruin my day. Not so much because I think they are real, but because my imagination switches into 'worst-case-scenario' mode. Not good.

I am all with you on Snape and Hermione. And I really, really want Lucius to survive as well...
