I've been writing a chaptered fic that involves only Edward from the Anitaverse. It's something that I started months and months ago, but it is still in the beginning stage. I have a general plot that I think will be interesting if I can pull it off as I'd like to. I have plans for a bit of Edward/OFC romance because Anita sucks. I'm making it up as I go along until I get further into the story and find a need for more planning. The file is on my home computer, but I'm so bored at work that my inspiration leaked over into a small portion of a chapter this morning. I need to patch it in with what already exists of the fic when I go home for lunch. If I can keep my muse happy, then I might be able to get some serious writing done on this fic.
I set out to write a believable OFC. She works for a private security company. She knows how to handle a gun, and can take care of herself to a certain extent, but she's not an assassin or some sort of sexual minx. She's just a regular girl that steps in a bit of shit and looks to Edward for help. I haven't got her to a point where she even likes Edward. So, we'll see how it goes. It's interesting to write Edward without all the past between him and Anita. It's also interesting to let him interact with a new character, let him play with her a bit, switching between Ted and Edward. I dunno. I'm just having fun with it right now. I hope to eventually have something that can be posted in the future. It's touch and go.
On the crocheting front, I'm still making stuff that I don't need. My special order yarn arrived, so I'm back to work on that large blue blanket for the winter. But before I turned my attention back to it, I made a scarf by mixing off-white with scarlet yarn. I just doubled up and took from two skiens at once. I put it on Ferguson, so he could model it.
Earlier this month, I took a few pictures of Ferguson and Bean lying in the sun in my living room. They came out extremely well, but I never posted any of them. So, here's my all time favorite picture of Ferguson being lazy.
And another picture that includes Bean, the dog we dogsit every weekend. She actually wants to come live with us, but I don't know if I can handle two dogs all the time.
