I have woken up in the middle of the night worrying about not worrying about anything! I used to imagine the worst case scenario for everything and try to work out a strategy to cope with it if it happened. Once I got the knack of having a solution things got easier - at least for the big things I can't influence directly! Doesn't help much with the scenario of waking up at 3am and thinking I had sent the keys to my mother's double glazing to the auction ... but no system is foolproof! Try to turn the worry into an intellectual challenge - don't start with the really scary stuff though! Try alternate routes to work and simple things to get some practice. Oh yes, I hadn't sent the keys to the auction after all.
