Oh my lord. Because her biggest goal in life is to be turned into another MTV cookie cutter clone. AUGH.

Here's a thought: if they really wanted to improve her life, they should have found her a guy who was ALSO into anime geekery (of which there are MANY, geez, that's just ignorant if they think otherwise) and helped her with the perfect cosplay for her prom. She'd do a lot better socially if she was comfortable with who she was, not by trying to fake something she's not and hanging out with people she has nothing in common with.

Way to teach someone to be ashamed of themselves, MTV. Have a hearty "FUCK OFF" from this anime geek girl.

Personally I've always been more drawn to people who were comfortable with who they were, no matter what that happened to be. I'm not interested in being friends with a magazine cut-out. (or dating one, for that matter)
