I thought a bit more about it, and I was also an avid reader of R.L. Stein's novels at that same time. Not the Goosebumps novels, but the others. I skimmed through a few promising titles of his, but didn't find anything of worth. Hmmm... I did take your advice and posted it on whatwasthatbook to see if anyone can assist me. Thanks!
