I read about all of Christopher Pike's novels back in the day, and I have recently been re-reading them and discussing them with my friend alexlady. That plot doesn't ring a Pike bell for me though. I'll ask her opinion.

You could try whatwasthatbook too. It took several months to get an answer, but years of wondering myself, I found out that a book I loved in first grade is The Wedding Ghost.
