Rocking My Hat

I brought some yarn and a circular needle to the office today to amuse myself. I found a pattern on the internet for a basic hat with a lovely cable design. I knitted the majority of it at work and finished up in about half an hour when I got home. I intended to capture the awesomeness of the pattern in the close-up picture below, but the yarn is dark and doesn't want to cooperate. It's easy to see in person, but not so easy to see when looking at the picture. The picture I took of myself in the hat was purposefully evasive. I had just washed my hair, and it looked hideous. I decided to spare you all the pre-Halloween scare.

I decided to put Cowboy Bebop on hold for now. I have the majority of Trinity Blood downloaded, so I'm going to watch that first. I've heard good and not-so-good things about Trinity Blood. Some people thought the storyline floundered in the last twelve episodes. I've seen the first two episodes, and I like them well enough, though I am unsure as to where they are going with the show. I'd rather watch Trinity now and enjoy it, than watch it after Cowboy Bebop (which everyone says is fantastic) and be disappointed that it wasn't as good.

Another odd thing? The copies of Trinity Blood I downloaded are dubbed in English, however they also have English subtitles. The subtitles and the dub do not follow each other. They both say the same things, just in slightly different ways. It's very confusing, and I can't turn the subtitles off. I'm trying to train myself to ignore them. I briefly considered buying the series on iTunes, but it's a little pricey - $40 for a digital copy. I'm not sure I can justify that when I have free copies on my computer. Plus, I don't even know if I'll love the series enough to spend money on it.
