MySpace has a professor grading function in which students can grade college professors and give other students an idea of what that particular professor is like. Out of curiousity, I looked up the college I went to and took a gander at the grades given to several of the professors I remembered. Dr. Bayly (my favorite professor) received a B, which seemed fair enough. However, when I looked at the individual reviews, there were three A's and two D's. Interesting.
The two people who gave Dr. Bayly a D also claimed that the only way to get an A in any of his class was to sleep with him.
I got an A in all of his classes.
No, I didn't sleep with him.
Although... No, I won't go there. I think of Dr. Bayly as my personal Professor Snape. His temperament is similiar to our most favorite of Hogwarts professors, but he infused a bit more dry humor into his lectures. He took a special liking to me by the time I had whizzed through two of his classes. I didn't know it at the time, but he usually fails half the students in his classes. At any rate, he liked that I actually paid attention and asked me to help him assist other students who weren't doing so well. I gave him permission to use his discretion in passing my phone number out to those in need of tutoring. Anyway, I was by no means a suck up to him or any of my other professors, but I did enjoy talking to him because of his quick mind and sense of odd humor. He even allow a handful of the psych majors (myself included) to hang out in his office during our free time. In hindsight, I have somewhat of a crush on him because he was such an amazing professor and because he scared the bejesus out of the vast majority of his students. However, sleeping with him? Ewww. He's married. He has a kid. And, to be honest, I really doubt that he would ever do something so sleazy. So, I left a grade to just rub it in the face of those who were sour over a failing grade that they should have studied the course material just a bit harder since it is possible to get an A without fucking the professor.
