Who should I talk to in order to get the announcer/speaker gig on VH1's Can't Get a Date. I have this odd fascination with that show and the guy talking to the daters (contestants?). I want to dispense dating advice and point out flaws. Not that I don't have any.

There was a record convention at the Marriott yesterday and I tagged along even though I don't collect records. I'm some sort of modern gal who only has CDs, though I have nothing against records; I think they are quite lovely. Anyway, I spent most of my time there perving over a guy with an English accent who happened to be looking through a box of soul records. So, I suppose it was worth the two bucks I paid to get into the convention.
Our receptionist is flitting off to Argentina (I think) to participate in some sort of summer program for instant immersion in Spanish. I smell another Natalee Holloway. I called it first. Let's see if she makes it back in one piece. In the meantime they've recruited one of her friends to man the phones and be my bitch for that month. I hate training new ones, especially when they give me the vacant look. Unfortunately I always get the vacant look. Maybe I'm just a bad teacher. That wouldn't surprise me.
