I Laid My Black Heart On the Table

the pAper chAse has a 7" split with Xiu Xiu out. It's not available on any of the distros out there, but they're offering it on their website if you want to pay with PayPal. I basically lost my mind when I saw it. the pAper chAse and Xiu Xiu cover Nick Cave. Aaack! So perfect. And my dearest John Congleton from the pAper chAse decided to cover "God Is In the House" which is one of the best Nick Cave songs EVER. I ordered it and hope it will arrive by the time Jason does his radio show. I've made him promise to play the split in full on the air. I'm also plotting and planning an attempt to transfer the tracks from the vinyl to MP3 format. If (when) I accomplish this, then I'll gladly post both tracks here so you can hear what I'm sure will be the most perfect cover of Nick Cave.

I pulled out all of my pAper chAse albums. I love the reprise of the second song during the twelfth track. It's gorgeous even if the words are minimal and rather sinister.
