Money!

I heard that we are getting bonuses on Friday. I also heard that my bonus is larger than my arch rival's (accounts payable girl). She has it in for me...says I have too much "responsibility". So won't she just flip her lid when she discovers that I've been given a company credit card and she hasn't. I'm being childish about this, but it's rather satisfying to know that my bonus is larger than hers even though she has worked here longer. Who says I can't be catty sometimes? I certainly am in this case.

So, I'm looking forward to Friday for more reasons than one now. The extra money is a welcome addition to my bank account since the trip to Las Vegas is in a couple weeks. My parents get nervous every time I tell them I'm going to Las Vegas. They think I'm going to run away and get married without their knowledge. I'm not getting married. But I am going to a wedding of a friend-by-association. I'm looking forward to it because it will serve to break up my daily schedule and shake things up a bit.

I've pulled myself out of a massive load of work that pile up over the holiday. Subcontracts, credit applications, and new employee orientations galore. I had hoped there would be time to revise the rough draft of a chapter on a fanfic I wrote last night, but that's a no-go. I'd feel guilty giving it time when I have a tower of to-do paperwork on my desk.

I've developed an infatuation with fake tuna (Tuno). I'm sure there's some sort of trademark on the name "Tuno". Because I don't eat seafood (or any meat for that matter), I started buying it as a substitute and now I can't eat anything else. Maybe they use some sort of drug. Or maybe it contains protein that I've been lacking my diet and my body is jumping for joy that I'm providing it with something it desires. Regardless, I've had watermelon and TUNO sandwiches for dinner the last two nights and I'm planning on dropping by the store after work to renew my supply. Like some sort of drug addict.
