I know you've felt this way about the fandom for a while - dont blame you. Its hard investing time in something that you'd rather strangle the hell out of.
But I'd personally hate to see, if nothing else, SDS fade away. There is some talented fiction out there - yours included - that is the light in the dark harbor of us poor disenchanted souls. And in this way the archive(s) are invaluable. As ladymina said, you could hand some duties off to someone regular on the archive that you trust and step in when need be.
If you're looking to cut some strings on the other hand, the forum... well, as much as I love chatting with my fellow mods, I don't use it for much else. Besides I can always catch you on here or Susies forum. Sometimes I also think - with the exception of Susies Drabbles, which I'd miss - that the forums breed toublemakers and that tends to bleed over to the PDS archive.
Anyway, I guess thats my two cents. I might possibly be done reading any future LKH books, but I don't think I am done with ABVH fanfic, reading or writing it, (Edward needs a life somewhere!) and SDS was and still is a good place to have around.
