Dreamsome

It was my first day in the capacity of Accounts Payable Manager. All in all, it went well. I have quite a bit of work to catch up on tomorrow, but I believe I have it under control. My own stress now is passing my knowledge on to my replacement since I've moved upstairs. I'm still splitting my day in half - half upstairs and half downstairs. Give me a couple weeks and I'll be flying right and quite happy. I'm thrilled with the office. It's large enough to give me plenty of room, but small enough to be intimate. The accountant is very happy to have me working upstairs with him and has made me feel welcome.

The fruits of my CD-buying-spree started arriving today. Ani Difranco's Not a Pretty Girl, Bree Sharp's Cheap and Evil Girl, and Shelby Lynn's I Am Shelby Lynn. I haven't listened to that second one, but I can confirm that both Ani and Shelby are amazing. I'm **extremely** impressed with Shelby in particular. My expectations weren't very high, but I decided that I was intrigued. She shot through my roof. The entire album is gorgeous - something that can't be faked.

Let me know what you think about Bree Sharp. I love the title!

So you are APM, not APgirl? Good for you!

Well, AP Girl, AP Manager - same difference. I don't really manage anyone since I'm the only one in the AP department. I get to manage the new girl who is answering phones. I'm trying not to scare her too much.

Again, congratulations on your move upwards! You're gonna do great, I'm certain.

Bree Sharp...if memory serves, she sang the David Duchovny fansong, no?

Glad the first day went well! How are your plants enjoying their new home? Did the cactus recover or is it still a bit droopy?
