Bleepin' Cars, Man

I received my audio CDs of the Colloquial Welsh course I am determined to get myself through. I finished all the work piled up on my desk. The first season of Robin Hood finished downloading.

Things were going great. Until...

I walked out to the parking lot to go to lunch and saw the massive flat tire on the front, left-hand side of my car. Dammit. Being an independent woman, I decided to put the spare on myself. I managed to jack the car up halfway before I realized that I am terrible at being a mechanic and couldn't even budge the lug nuts. I scurried over to our shop next door and sweet-talked our company mechanic into switching out the tires for me. He was able to whip the tire off my car and replace it with the spare in the time it took me to jack the damn thing up halfway. This just confirms that I have no aptitude for fixing cars.

So, now my car is at the shop getting two new tires and a lug nut replaced. The flat tire has a screw the size of Montana in it. I'm a pro at driving over nails and screws. Payroll Girl has offered to drive me back over to the shop when they call me.

TSO refers to me as "Queen of the Flat Tires" yet I have never attempted to change one in my life, so go you for trying. But it takes some upper body strength to do it. I fail at that!

Cars, along with all the repairs and all the money they cost drive me NUTS!

Hope you get all fixed ;-)

I had to change a tire for my driving class back when I was in high school. I believe I removed the lug nuts using the ancient strongman technique of standing on the lug nut wrench. =D
