Almost Blue

I've cycled back around to listening to Elvis Costello's Almost Blue album. So beautiful. Especially when you take the bonus disc into consideration. I would post a couple MP3s, but I'm on the laptop and its dial-up connection is dicey at best. One false move and I'll be banned from the internet.

For all you PDS website-goers out there, I changed the layout and color scheme of the fiction archive as well as the gateway page. I'm reasonably satisfied with it.

It occurred to me that I have said very little in the past couple days. That may be just because I'm going through this week like a zombie. I'm looking forward to the 4th of July long weekend with prayers that there won't be any family-oriented events to attend. I'm sure I'll be back to my slightly neurotic self soon.

Mmm, Almost Blue...I'm not familiar with the whole album (at least, not yet, heh) but I love that song....

And, um, "slightly" neurotic? ;)

Ahh, yes...I'm more than slightly neurotic. ;-) "Almost Blue" is an album of country covers that Elvis Costello did back in the late-70s, early-80s. I think it's enough to make someone appreciate and enjoy the early country music even if they professed hatred of it beforehand. The rerelease of the album has a bonus disc with 27 additional songs on it most of which are live tracks. All of which are beautiful.

And actually, I should say I'm not terribly familiar with the songs on Almost Blue - I kept your descriptions of the Costello albums for future shopping :)
