I think many of J.R. Ward's readers are unhappy with her transition into urban fantasy instead of strictly romance. I would say all of the books after the third have more action/plot going out outside of the romance. The romance is always the central plot, but half of each book is dedicated to other issues going on. Part of me likes that, but another part of me wants more romance. However, I'm very happy with the series thus far. I'm not all that upset about her slide into urban fantasy because I enjoy that genre regardless. Plus, I've became very attached to some of the supporting characters that are not Brothers or their mates (Rehvenge, John Matthew, Quinn, Blaylock, Xhex, Layla, etc).

So, if you're looking for more concentration on romance, then you might be disappointed with the next two novels. However, if you don't mind the subplots, then I think you'll be happy with the next book about V and his mate. I'm not entirely happy with the sixth book (due to my lukewarm feelings toward the central romance between Phury and his mate), but the subplots for Rehvenge (and his blackmailer) and the trio of boys (John Matthew, Quinn, and Blaylock) really make up for it.

I'm several chapters into Welcome to Temptation, and I'm with you--it's cute, but it's not as good as Bet Me. Maybe it will get better, though. I don't think I have as firm a grasp on Sophie as I did on Min. Min was like a friend; I knew her very well. Sophie is still elusive, and I think that's why I haven't connected to this one as easily. However, the scene by the river with Phin in the 5th chapter was lovely.
