My Inner Pre-Teen Emerges (and other things)

+ OMG, you guys. I've found my ten-year-old self, and it feels so good. Back in the day, I religiously watched The Mickey Mouse Club on Disney. In 1990, a group of five MMC-ers were chosen to form a vocal group to perform original songs. Of course, I was so excited because Chase Hampton was chosen, and he was the dreamiest guy ever, and I was secretly in love with him. I've totally forgotten about them, but I just stumbled across a few of their videos on YouTube. I still love the songs. And I still know all the words. Coulda Woulda Shoulda has always been my favorite, but That's Why is definitely up there, too. And you know I flipped out when Chase sang lead vocals on I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend. Seriously. I'm totally going to order their albums again. Why did I ever get rid of them? What, did I think I was cool or something? I'm totally not cool.

+ There are too many books I want to read! I don't have the time! Ack! I started and finished The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch yesterday. It is, by far, my favorite of the Philip K. Dick novels I've read.

+ Jason and I are watching Neon Genesis Evangelion at the moment. I've heard so many people recommend it and/or put it in their top ten list. We're just past the halfway point, and I have some serious issues with the show. It isn't at all what I expected, and I'm quite disappointed. I certainly hope it gets better.

+ Is anyone familiar with a book called Sebastian by Anne Bishop? I originally went in the used bookstore to find The Black Jewels trilogy, but I ended up buying the above-mentioned book as well. From what I understand, it is part of a series. Yes? Help? Does anyone know if I should read it or just sell it back at a loss?

+ Our accountant voted for Ron Paul! Victory! Mmwahaha!

+ I've been watching videos from John and Hank Green, the vlogbrothers on YouTube. They crack me up. And, John chooses between Edward (Cullen) and Jacob (Black) in this vlog, not mentions talks about how guys tend to be intrigued by giraffe sex. Too funny.

+ I love this Robert Palmer song. Oh, '80s flashback.
