Park Fun
The weather was nice today, so Ferguson and I walked over to the park and did a few laps around it. Three miles wipes him out fairly well. I brought my camera along for park fun.
On the way to the park, Ferguson sniffed everything in the world, including some gross dog doo. He remained attentive for any other dogs in the area.
The grass was pretty much dead, but the view was lovely once we got to the park.
Ferguson proceeded to sniff everything within nose reach of him.
There are several small trees planted at the park with a plaque at the base, dedicating the tree to someone who died. I imagine surviving family can make a donation to have this done. At any rate, on the north end of the park are two trees a few feet apart. One is dedicated to a husband and the other to his wife. They're my favorite trees, even if they're a bit scrawny. I just like the idea of something of the couple surviving on, planted side-by-side all happy-like.
It was super windy, as it always is in Albuquerque this time of year. I took a picture of my ridiculous hair. Half my face got cut off because I'm crap at taking pictures of myself without being able to see the preview screen on the back. Beyond that, I wasn't going to be a weirdo and take multiple pictures of myself at the park in an attempt to get one that came out right. Woo, crazy!hair. No wonder people don't approach me while walking Ferg.
Other than that, I didn't do much else. I babysat Markel for half an hour while her mother went to the grocery store. Jason and I bought a DVD player to replace our dearly departed one that conked out last night. I hope to spend the remainder of the evening with a book or two.
